Departments of Pathology (Drs. Kim and Lamberson), Neurosurgery (Dr. Hodge), and Pediatrics (Dr. Weiner), State University of New York-Upstate Medical Center, Syracuse, NY.

A patient with intracerebral Cladosporium trichoides infection following traumatic inoculation is described. In previously reported cases, treatment with antifungal agents was unsuccessful. Following combined therapy with amphotericin B and 5-fluorocytosine, our patient remains well and without evidence of infection 27 months after injury.

Address correspondence and reprint requests to Dr. Kim, Department of Pathology, SUNY-Upstate Medical Center, Syracuse, NY 13210.

Accepted for publication December 24, 1980.
