The overall physical, psychosexual, social, and economic implications of multiple sclerosis can frustrate and bewilder patients and families and tax the resources of physicians. We describe a program for the delivery of comprehensive continuing health care to these patients, with the intent of minimizing disability and institutionalization. The program has operated in the Bronx for over 7 years.
